- Brooklyn trio Nude Beach have shared a bight, new song called “Been Waitin'” The song didn’t make it onto their recent LP 77, but thankfully they released it anyway. Also, Nude Beach will be performing in Seattle at Black Lodge on February 21. [CMJ]
- Last night, Sleater-Kinney reunited for their first live performance in nine years. Corin Tucker, Janet Weiss,and Carrie Brownstein stopped by the Late Show with David Letterman to promote their upcoming, reunion album No Cities to Love (out January 20). - Sharon Van Etten unveiled a new track on yesterday’s Ellen show. She’s played the song at a few live shows but this was definitely it’s most public performance. Rumor has it that “I Don’t Want to Let You Down” may be the first taste of a new album that could be out later this year. [CoS]
- Dire Straits guitarist Mark Knopfler will release his eighth studio album, Tracker, on March 16. He’s shared the album’s first single called “Beryl,” which was inspired by British writer Beryl Bainbridge. [Stereogum]
